nablopomo day 30: reflection

So today is officially the last day of nablopomo. Its come sooner than I thought it would. I for one, enjoyed this assignment. I think it was a great way to express some thoughts that you’d like to say to everyone, but maybe didn’t have the courage to do it in person. Some people do have these shyness issues, or just the topic they would like to talk about, just doesn’t get brought up in a conversation.

It wasn’t too hard to post a blog everyday, but the thing that was hard, was thinking of a topic to blog about. I really enjoyed the post dating feature, as i am sure some others did too . I sometimes did miss a blog, and it was easy to get caught up, without many people knowing.

To be honest, I personally don’t think I have found my voice in writing from this assignment. Its a huge bummer, but ive read some of my classmates blog, and to be honest, some of them were great! Some people in this class deffinatly have their own voice.

I think i am going to post a vlog soon.. but not many people will probably see it, because im sure most people will just stop using wordpress after this is done and over with. I for one, will deffinatly keep checking back to Imanopenbook to read updates for the class.

Well, today i did absolutely nothing, but sit on the couch, listen to music & play a new game i bought

its actually a pretty old game, but its called Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition. Im not much of a gamer, but i do like the street racing games. They really seem to catch my eye

I recommend this game to anyone who likes fast car games, where you can customize the vehicle that your driving & what not

Today, my peers & I, earned some community service hours by joining Westlane in the christmas parade. Oh, it was great! You people who missed out on it… well.. you don’t know what you missed. The floats were great! Although, I think we could have walked just a little longer. The 1km felt very short. That, and there were horse dumplings all over the roads….. very disturbing!

I arrived to the corner of Jepson & Victoria Ave. around 10ish, and stood there with friends for about an hour and a half…. Finally around 11:30 we started walking and I think we finished around 12:30. Correct me if i am wrong

So, as i write this blog, I am enjoying a delightful water bottle. My favourite water is Nestle, bottled. I only drink water if its bottled. I don’t really other water. Some people say it all tastes the same, but I beg to differ. Say for example, you went and tried some Dasani water, and then drink some Nestle Bottled, you will taste a significant difference in the taste. I do enjoy the casual mineral water every now & then, but you can get sick of it, if you drink it too much.

Water has a lot of great natural things to it. For one, water is a great anti oxidant, and cleans out your blood & flushes the toxins out of your body. It benefits you in clearer skin, because, hey… everybody loves clear skin

Water doesn’t stain your teeth, or make you feel queezy after. Whenever I add a crystal light packet to my water, after I finish the water, I notice a slight tinge in the colour of my teeth. This is NOT good. But, if i just drink plain water, it is great, because it doesn’t colour my teeth!

Preferably, i prefer my water chilled.

Ive noticed that Mrs. Landon has not been doing her blog lately… It actually upsets me, because i enjoyed reading her blogs everyday. Sometimes they would get me topics to blog about, or just interest in the world & what she was talking about. It isn’t always easy to come up with blog topics.

but for this blog, I think i shall compare two cellphones: The Lg Neon, & the Lg Vu. Which I both own.

Lg neon: full qwerty keyboard, touch screen dialing, threaded text message viewing.

Lg Vu: completely touch screen.

Now i would like to compare these few features, because these are what matters most to me in a phone. I like the lg vu, because its sleek, and it looks cool. But my only problem is texting on it. It can be very tricky, & sometimes the buttons dont actually get hit properally, because its more of “press” screen, than touch. It doesnt use the heat of your finger to detect what you clicked on; it takes the actual press. I would like to use this phone, but instead i use my Lg Neon now, because it is a LOT easier to text on, and the touch screen dialing, uses the heat of your finger, so you are not required to actually press the screen.

If you are looking for a cool sleek phone, deffinately go with the Lg Vu, but if you are looking for a quite moderate phone that is great for texting… Lg Neon all the way

So today we had a quiz on act 3 of Romeo & Juliet. I was so prepared for the quiz today from the tremendous studying I have been up to lately, I’m pretty sure I aced the quiz. Well not aced, but fairly well. The first side of the page was very easy, as well as the back side. Although, I think I was having troubles with the last question or two. Well I am pretty psyched to get my quiz marked & handed back. Hopefully you are too .

Im eating a a sub from Subway right now. ahah its pretty good I got an assorted sub with: ham, cheese, black olives, cucumber, & lettuce, on an italian bun. yeup, i did say italian Im not sure how healthy subway actually really is, but i recommend you all to subway when your stomach is in need of some delicious food

I think i am pretty prepared for this Mythology ISU. I have been averaging doing a myth every night, and it has turned out well for me. I think myths was a great topic of choice to do for this years ISU, because it really interests me, as well as a few of my other peers i have spoken with.

Romeo & Juliet? Pshh, im gonna own this next upcoming quiz. Ill admit, i failed all the other quizzes, but thats because i was lost in the book! I went back and read through all the Acts, and looked up some romeo & juliet act summaries. So if your lost in Romeo & Juliet, i advise you go back & read and try to understand what the text is talking about. Another great way, is to actually pay attention during class. I have just recently discovered that, and it has been working out great for me. Its good because we talk about in class what they characters are really saying, and what we talk about in class, usually does show up on the test. So next time you decide to put your head down, think again, because it will greatly affect your mark

So, this is our like, what … third week of blogging? Woah, its gone by pretty fast.

Christmas is in 33 days ;D wooottt! Im counting down the days, because im just that icy. I dont really want much this year. Just mainly shopping money, a new camera, and whatever else my parents decide to get me. I’d tell you what kind of cologne, but there are some posers out there who might steal my scent. I would not want that to happen..

Today was pretty warm, and i liked it. I could have tanned today or something; thats how warm it was. It upsets me to think that snow will soon be appearing on the ground. Muahahaha but I doesn’t bother me too much, because im not the one who shovels the driveway

My friend arjun showed me this site called www.lockerz.com. And ill say, at first i thought it was pretty pointless, until he told me you can earn points and redeem them for prizes. That is what caught my eye . I thought they were going to be stupid little small prizes like, cups or something? ye digg ?

but then i looked, and you can get psp’s, ipods, computers, and macbooks. I am trying to get a macbook for 2500 points. You don’t earn that many points though, because each day, you go and login to Lockerz.com, and you get like, 20-30 points a day. So it does take a while to save up.
